Irish Women in London Come Together for the icap International Women’s Day Event

The icap International Women’s Day Lunch on the 7th of March 2025, was a stunning celebration of strength, success and solidarity. Hosted in the beautiful surroundings of the Kimpton Fitzroy London, this sell-out event brought together 220 accomplished Irish women living and working in the UK. It was an afternoon dedicated to honouring achievements, creating new connections and raising critical funds for icap’s mental health services for the Irish community.

A Celebration of Irish Excellence and Community

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The room buzzed with excitement as women from various industries came together to celebrate their shared heritage and achievements. The event was attended by influential figures and supporters of the Irish community, including Mrs. Deirdre Fraser, Jacqueline O’Donovan OBE, Lady Mary Hatch, renowned chef Anna Haugh, and the incredible Trish Halpin, who delivered the keynote speech.

Trish, a highly respected journalist and former Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire, Red, and InStyle, captivated the audience with her insights on career progression, resilience and the importance of community. As the co-host of the hugely popular Postcards From Midlife podcast, which has amassed over six million downloads, she shared stories that resonated deeply with the women in attendance, inspiring them to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with life and leadership.
