icap
We offer a range of community services in London and Birmingham. These groups and services take place during the day and are free to attend.
Hearth
A London wide home therapy service for older, housebound Irish people. We offer this service in partnership with Irish Chaplaincy Seniors Project.
Solas
A group for carers who are living with someone who has dementia. The group meets every two weeks at Ashford Place. It coincides with activities within the dementia café programme.
Meitheal
These are support groups for Irish men. The groups meet on alternate weeks at London Irish Centre and Innisfree Housing.
Carers Group
A group for unpaid Irish carers is held in Finsbury Park. It offers the opportunity to talk and to share experiences with people who are in a similar situation.
Comhar
This is a support group for older Irish men and is run in partnership with the Mental Health Foundation. The group draws on songs by Irish artists documenting the migrant experience of Irish men.
St Joseph’s House
This is a counselling service in Acocks Green, Birmingham. Icap offers six to twelve sessions of one to one counselling.
Cáirde Survivors Group
Cáirde is a London based survivors group which meets weekly in Kentish Town, North London. It is a space for people to talk about their early experiences as well as current everyday concerns.
Counselling at Birmingham Irish Association
Icap offers six to twelve sessions of one to one counselling in partnership with BIA.
Lisieux Trust, Birmingham
Icap offers six to twelve weeks of counselling in partnership with the Lisieux Trust.
