We are delighted to announce that we will be marking International Women’s Day virtually this year. Our annual event is a renowned event on the Irish social calendar in London. In keeping with the current government guidelines we have moved our event, now in its 7th year, to the virtual world, something we have all grown accustomed to but we can assure you this year will be just as much fun.
We are delighted to be joined on the day by Lady Chanelle McCoy, founder and CEO Chanelle McCoy Health.
Chanelle, Lady McCoy winner of the All-Ireland Business Champion Award (2018) and recently ranked no 23 in the ‘50 incredible people shaping modern Ireland’. Chanelle was the most recent dragon on the TV series Dragon’s Den in Ireland and is also married to horseracing legend Sir AP McCoy.
When formally leading Chanelle Medical part of the multi-million-pound global company Chanelle Pharmaceuticals based in Galway, over her 18 years she took the medical company into 96 markets globally and achieved approval for 2,500 medicine product licenses globally.
Leaving the family business to set up her own company in 2015, Chanelle and business partner Caroline Glynn set up Chanelle McCoy Health, an R&D led pharmaceutical company. After spending 5 years researching CBD and investing substantially in clinical studies, Pureis® Ultra Pure CBD is the 1st CBD food supplement backed by clinical studies, launched in 2020, and is taking the UK & Irish market by storm. It is on track to be the 1st CBD food supplement in the world to achieve a European Novel Food Approval license, permitting launch of a CBD food supplement in Europe.
Chanelle McCoy Health offers a rapid 15-minute Antigen test, 1 of only 3 UK government approved Antigen tests, and also offers an FDA approved Antibody test. These diagnostic tests are used to detect COVID-19 virus and the presence of antibodies.
Chanelle is a popular business, leadership & motivational speaker due to her experience of co-heading up Ireland’s largest indigenous pharmaceutical company, setting up her own pharma company, struggling with work life balance and she is a huge supporter of women in business and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
The 44 year-old is married to Sir AP McCoy OBE, Champion Jump Jockey for 20 consecutive years, voted BBC Sports Personality of the year in 2010. When he retired in 2015, AP was awarded with the BBC’s Lifetime Achievement Award and was knighted by the Queen for his Services to Horseracing. Chanelle and AP have 2 children Eve (13) and Archie (7).
Hosting the chat with Lady McCoy will be Marina Donohoe, Regional Director UK & Northern Europe for Enterprise Ireland, based in their London Office. There will be a chance for networking and catching up and while enjoying the event a chance to support the work of icap.
