Community Legal Service

Ethos

icap is primarily committed to providing a service that caters specifically for those from immigrant communities particularly the Irish community. icap is unique in this respect as no such service currently exists throughout the UK.

icap is accessible to adults of all ages and all socio-economic backgrounds. The service strives to be culturally sensitive, particularly specialising in cultural awareness of Irish people.

Through an initial assessment, icap strives to meet the needs of the client in the best possible way.

Psychotherapy is provided in a safe and confidential environment, for anyone who feels they need the service. In cases of self-referral, icap aims to make the service economically accessible, so clients are invited to contribute according to their financial means.

All clinical engagement is confidential, this confidentiality is broken ONLY when a client gives their written consent, in criminal cases, serious acts of harm to self and/or others, or if icap is summonsed by a Court of Law.
