Bríd Keenan BACP FAGT
Bríd is a Gestalt psychotherapist who works primarily in private practice in Belfast. She is a founder member of the
Belfast Gestalt Institute (EAGT). She is also a qualified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner – a body orientated approach
to working with trauma originating in the work of Dr. Peter Levine. In addition, she is a member of the European Association
for Gestalt Psychotherapy (FAGT).She is also a clinical supervisor. She has co-authored a number of resources on conflict-
related trauma with Rosie Burrows.
Bríd is a clinical supervisor working with community-based counsellors and more recently with counsellors in a suicide
crisis support service. She is a process consultant with community-based organisations using Gestalt in the context of
large and small systems. Her practice includes working with all age groups, individually, couples and groups. She provides
workshops throughout Ireland and assists with SE trainings in England and Europe. She also works with a community-based
organisation supporting relatives of those killed in disputed circumstances in the conflict in Ireland.

Speaker Jim Fitzgerald - The Archetypal Background to Trauma and Addiction
Jim Fitzgerald is a Jungian analyst with a private practice in London. His background is Ancient Classics and Byzantine Greek,
followed by a career in Primary school teaching. He holds a Diploma from the C.G.Jung Institute in Zurich, and is a member of
The Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists and of The Guild of Analytical Psychology and Spirituality. He is a past
Chairman of the C.G.Jung Analytical Psychology Club in London. He has lectured widely, at home and abroad. He is the author of
two Guild pamphlets: The Father’s Shadow and the Source of the Masculine, and Vision of Light: The Healing Power of the Numinous.

Speaker Nuala Flynn - Dreams and Trauma – With a trusting therapeutic relationship, working with dreams related to
childhood trauma can be pivotal in transforming feelings and perspective. Terror can change to empowerment through careful
engagement with the dream. I will share some work with disturbing dreams, give some theory and there will be time for discussion
and dream work exercises. Nuala is a Jungian orientated psychotherapist and supervisor who is passionate about dreamwork. She has
been part of a dream group for 20 years and has facilitated dream groups. She is currently enrolled in the MA programme at Chichester
University in Transpersonal Arts and Practice (ImaginalStudies). She recently trained as a Social Dreaming Matrix host.
